Bloom & Beat — Warren Music Academy’s Early Childhood Music Program

Ages 6 Months Through Kindergarten

Where a Lifelong Love of Music Begins

Every parent remembers the first milestones.

The first smile. The first laugh. The first steps. The first words.

What many parents don’t realize is that some of those earliest moments are also musical.

Long before children can explain what they’re thinking or feeling, they naturally respond to rhythm, melody, movement, and sound. They sway to music, clap along with a beat, smile when someone sings to them, and begin expressing themselves through music long before they can express themselves with words.

Those early years are a remarkable window of growth.

The first smile. The first laugh. The first song.

Some childhood memories stay with us forever.

We would be honored to help make music one of them.

Schedule a visit, meet our instructors, and discover whether Bloom & Beat is the right fit for your family.

At Warren Music Academy, we created Bloom & Beat because we believe music should be more than something children hear. It should be something they experience with their whole body, their imagination, and their heart.

Our program is designed for children ages 6 months through kindergarten and uses joyful musical experiences to support confidence, creativity, communication, coordination, and healthy development in a warm, encouraging environment.

We aren’t trying to create the next concert pianist.

We’re helping children discover the joy of music while giving them a strong foundation for learning, creativity, confidence, and lifelong musical enjoyment.

Why Start Music So Early?

During the first few years of life, children experience extraordinary growth. Every day they are building new connections through movement, language, play, observation, and human interaction.

Music naturally brings all of these experiences together.

Research has shown that meaningful musical experiences can help support:

  • Early language and communication
  • Listening and auditory awareness
  • Gross and fine motor development
  • Memory and attention
  • Emotional regulation
  • Creativity and imagination
  • Social interaction
  • Confidence and healthy self-expression

Most importantly, music creates joyful moments between children and the people who love them.

A Gentle, Child-Centered Approach

Every child develops differently.

Some children eagerly jump into every activity. Others quietly observe before joining. Some sing immediately. Others simply watch and listen.

Every one of those children is learning.

Our classes are intentionally designed around the understanding that children develop at their own pace. There is never pressure to perform, sing, dance, or participate in a specific way.

Instead, our instructors create a warm, welcoming environment where children are encouraged to explore music through movement, sound, imagination, and play while developing confidence naturally.

Families are often amazed at how quickly children begin participating once they feel comfortable and safe.

What to Expect in Class

Every Bloom & Beat class is thoughtfully planned while allowing flexibility for the unique personalities and developmental stages of the children in the room.

A typical class may include:

Children explore music through movement using scarves, ribbons, dancing, marching, stretching, and imaginative play.

Rhythm & Instrument Exploration

Children experiment with age-appropriate percussion instruments while developing coordination, listening skills, and an understanding of rhythm.

Stories & Musical Play

Stories, games, creative movement, and pretend play allow children to explore music naturally through imagination.

Calm Closing Activities

Gentle songs help children transition while reinforcing familiar routines and creating a positive ending to every class.

Every class is designed to feel successful, enjoyable, and welcoming.

Our Programs

Little Roots Rhythm — Parent & Me | Ages 6–12 Months

Our Parent & Me music class is a gentle, joyful introduction to the world of sound for your little one. Designed for infants ages 6 to 12 months, this class creates a safe and nurturing environment where babies and their caregivers explore music together.

Through simple songs, movement, sensory play, and age-appropriate instrument exploration, we support your baby’s natural curiosity and growing awareness of sound and rhythm. There is no expectation for babies to respond or participate in any specific way. Caregivers are guided to follow their baby’s cues and engage at a pace that feels comfortable and natural.

Parents and caregivers will also learn simple ways to continue musical experiences at home, strengthening bonding while responding to their baby’s unique signals through sound and movement.

Classes are thoughtfully designed by Warren Music Academy educators to support connection and healthy development without pressure or comparison.

Harmony Sprouts — Parent & Me | Ages 18 Months–2 Years

Harmony Sprouts is a warm and playful class where toddlers and their caregivers explore music together in a supportive classroom community. At this age, learning happens through movement, imitation, and repetition, and every activity is designed with those natural learning processes in mind.

Through singing, dancing, instrument play, and creative exploration, toddlers experience rhythm, melody, tempo, and dynamics in ways that feel engaging and developmentally appropriate. Activities naturally follow each child’s interests and energy level, allowing them to participate freely while building familiarity with musical patterns.

There is no expectation for toddlers to sit still or participate in a certain way. Classes encourage confidence, connection, coordination, and joyful musical discovery while respecting each child’s unique pace.

Harmony Sprouts supports early development through meaningful musical experiences rather than formal instruction.

Sound Garden — Preschool & Kindergarten | Ages 3–5 Years

Sound Garden is a playful, engaging class designed for preschoolers and kindergarteners who are ready to explore music with growing independence. Children are encouraged to participate actively while learning in a warm, supportive environment that respects each child’s unique personality and developmental journey.

Through singing, movement, instrument play, rhythm activities, storytelling, and guided creative exploration, children experience steady beat, rhythm, melody, tempo, dynamics, musical form, and expressive movement. Concepts are introduced through hands-on experiences rather than formal explanation, allowing children to learn music by doing.

Classes are structured to encourage focus, confidence, cooperation, creativity, and joyful self-expression while leaving room for imagination and spontaneity. Rather than emphasizing performance, we emphasize curiosity, exploration, and a genuine love of music.

As children grow, Sound Garden also helps families recognize when a child may be ready to transition into beginner private music lessons.

Trusting the Process

Bloom & Beat is built on developmentally appropriate teaching methods that recognize every child learns differently.

Some children participate immediately. Some children observe.

Observation is participation.

Children who appear to be quietly watching are often absorbing far more than we realize. Parents are frequently surprised when those same children begin singing the songs at home or demonstrating new musical skills days later.

Our instructors are trained to guide children through this natural learning process. We simply ask parents to trust the process, follow the instructor’s guidance during class, and allow children to participate in ways that feel appropriate for their individual readiness.

Why Families Choose Warren Music Academy

For generations, Warren Music Academy has believed music education is about far more than learning songs.

It’s about helping people grow.

Bloom & Beat reflects that philosophy from the very beginning of a child’s musical journey by creating a place where confidence comes before performance, curiosity is encouraged, and every child is valued as an individual.

Many of our youngest students eventually continue into private lessons, youth performance programs, bands, workshops, and other opportunities as they grow. Others simply leave with wonderful memories and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Either outcome is something worth celebrating.
